This week scientists, largely ignored by the press, warned us that the Arctic could have an ice-free day in as little as three years. Sea ice has declined by more than 12 per cent every decade since 1978 as a result of our Greenhouse Gas emissions. With this in mind, the Climate Choir travelled to London toContinueContinue reading “Climate Choir demands British Museum stop funding from BP”

Sheffield Rallies for Palestine
We may have been distracted by the General Election and/or the football, but the horrendous truth is the Genocide is continuing in Palestine and our Government is complicit in it along with local institutions such as Sheffield University. Our Government may have changed, but it is still supporting Israel both by supplying arms and givingContinueContinue reading “Sheffield Rallies for Palestine”
Israel is not a democratic country
A letter to the Sheffield Star and Telegraph Dear Editor Politicians and journalists who refer to Israel as a democracy are wrong. Actually, Israel is one of the most undemocratic countries in the world and uses a system of Apartheid. Jason Hickel explained this and I have summarised his argument. In South African apartheid, AfricansContinueContinue reading “Israel is not a democratic country”
