I’m an adman’s nightmare! 

I was very pleased by Sheffield City Council’s recent decision on advertising. Last Monday the Finance Committee agreed to a ban on ads for junk food, sugary drinks, petrol cars, flights, alcohol, gambling and vaping. Sheffield has gone further than other cities like Bristol and Norwich as they have also banned high-carbon car and flight advertising.

Boycott Barclays Action in Sheffield

Thursday 21st March was the national day of action against Barclays and Sheffield made sure it didn’t go unnoticed.

Members of the Sheffield Coalition against Israeli Apartheid went to Barclays and protested inside the bank, calling for an end to the financing of companies involved in arms exports to Israel.

On  Thursday 29th Feb, nearly 200 students and teachers attended the Schools Climate Education South Yorkshire Conference 2024 at Niagara Conference Centre. They gathered from Doncaster, Barnsley, Derbyshire and Sheffield, representing 21 schools and Sheffield  College.
