Sheffield outraged as more than 400 killed in Gaza.

As the violence in Gaza escalated to new heights Sheffielders came to protest outside the Station on Tuesday. We heard from Musheir El-Farra who was understandably emotional as he knew personally many of the victims of the latest bombings. These were an artist, a former headteacher and many women and children. Make no mistake, this is not a war on Hamas, it is a war on all the people of Palestine.

The rally was urged to keep campaigning for everyone to boycott Israeli products and good news was shared concerning South Yorkshire Pension Authority who are to reconsider their ethical investment policy , thanks the hard work of Cllr Alexi Dimond and other Green Councillors. The rally was also addressed by Cllr Toby Mallinson.

Israel has repeatedly defied the UN, its resolutions & international law. Member states must act.Yet at PMQs, the Prime Minister said his government is “doing all we can” — except imposing sanctions, ending all arms sales, military support, trade & diplomatic ties with Israel.
