A Silent March will be held on Saturday, April 18th, marking Palestinian Prisoners’ Day, organised by Sheffield Coalition against Israeli Apartheid.
Assemble: 11:45a.m. at DEVONSHIRE GREEN, S1 4GT, walking to the Cathedral for a rally at approx. 1 p.m.

On April 18th, we will walk in support of the worldwide Red Ribbons Campaign calling for the release of all Palestinian political prisoners.
Since 1948, Israel has used imprisonment to oppress the Palestinians. One in five
Palestinians have been imprisoned by Israel at some point in their life.

Mass imprisonment aims to defeat Palestinian resistance to Israel’s goal of
seizing ever more Palestinian land and expelling its rightful owners.

This pattern has accelerated since October 2023:
Over 9,000 Palestinians are in Israeli jails; 3,500 of these are held without trial or
charge, and 400 children and 66 women are among the prisoners.
In Israel’s jails, Palestinian prisoners are subjected to systematic torture, and now
they also face the prospect of death sentences after the passing of Israel’s
Execution Law. Palestinian prisoners resist this brutality and are a key part of their
people’s struggle for liberation.

seizing ever more Palestinian land and expelling its rightful owners.
We stand with Palestinian political prisoners, demanding their freedom.
Please join us. Wear a symbolic red ribbon on the march.
