The Sudanese Community Association in Sheffield organised a super event on Saturday 3rd August with entertainment from the One World Choir, which is built around asylum seekers and refugees.

Burngreave Vestry Hall hosted the launch of a campaign to raise money for health facilities in Sudan, which is over-run by the ongoing conflict.

The current war in Sudan has caused immense suffering and displacement, leaving countless families without basic necessities such as food, water, shelter, and medical care. The situation is dire, and the need for humanitarian assistance is more critical than ever.

The aim of this event was to announce the beginning of a long term campaign  to meet the Sudanese urgent needs, and to collect much-needed resources and funds to support the affected communities in Sudan.

The first goal of this campaign is to support health facilities in Sudan during the difficult crisis that the country is currently going through, and one of the priorities of the campaign is to support the Korma Camp Health Centre, which is located in the state of North Darfur, El Fasher, which has completely gone out of service due to the lack of medicines, and the region has received thousands of displaced people fleeing the war.
