There was a wonderful evening of song at the Justice Now camp, starting with the South African National Anthem in thanks for the great work South Africa is doing at the Hague International Court of Justice, bringing the case of Genocide against Israel. Shame on the UK and the USA as the only nations denying that Genocide is happening. The choir are the united voices of the Tadhamon Singers and the Sheffield Socialist Choir.

I was pleased at last to see some coverage of the Camp in the Sheffield Telegraph today but they made an absolutely terrible mistake, saying that 23 people had died in Palestine, when it should have been 23000. People from the camp went straight to the newspaper offices and this resulted in further interviews for Lena and Sahar later in the day. 23 is much less than the 79 journalists and media workers that have been killed in Gaza since October 7th.
I was also pleased, having asked him to come, to see my MP, Paul Blomfield at the camp today. He listened for a long time and seemed visibly moved by what he heard. Let’s hope he can take that back to his colleagues and persuade than to be more supportive of Palestine. Lena and Sahar look forward to more visits from MP’s.
The bad news is the BDS Bill was voted through in the Commons last nightand will now make its way to the Lords. Natalie Bennett, Baroness of Manor Castle, spoke powerfully outside the Commons during the debate.
